Being in the art business for almost 45 years, Eric Klinkhoff figures as one of the most experienced experts in the field of Canadian art, specializing in the buying and selling of important works by outstanding Canadian artists such as Paul-Émile Borduas, Emily Carr, Maurice Cullen, Marc-Aurèle Fortin, Clarence Gagnon, Lawren Harris, Prudence Heward, Edwin Holgate, A.Y. Jackson, Cornelius Krieghoff, Jean Paul Lemieux, Arthur Lismer, John Lyman, David Milne, J.W. Morrice, Kathleen Morris, Alfred Pellan, Robert Pilot, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Albert H. Robinson, Anne Savage, Marc-Aurèle Suzor-Coté, Sam Borenstein, Tom Thomson, Frederick Simpson Coburn, Nora Collyer, Berthe des Clayes, Randolph Hewton, Molly Lamb and Bruno Bobak, as well as other historical Canadian and contemporary artists.  Appointed by the artist, Eric Klinkhoff is John Little's exclusive representative.

 

For more than 40 years, Eric Klinkhoff has undertaken a Catalogue Raisonné of the work of the important Canadian Impressionist, Maurice Cullen (1866-1934).  In the field of Canadian art, art dealers, auctioneers and collectors alike recognize Eric Klinkhoff as being the Maurice Cullen expert.

 

During his long experience in Walter Klinkhoff Gallery, Eric Klinkhoff sold works directly on behalf of numerous artists and/or their estates, including Molly Lamb and Bruno Bobak, Paul-Émile Borduas, Sam Borenstein, Frederick Simpson Coburn, Nora Collyer, Berthe des Clayes, Marc Aurèle Fortin, Clarence Alphonse Gagnon, Prudence Heward, Randolph Hewton, Edwin Holgate, A.Y. Jackson, Jean-Paul Lemieux, Arthur Lismer John Little, Kathleen Morris, Robert Pilot, Anne Savage, René Richard, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Goodridge Roberts, and Frederick B. Taylor.

 

Eric Klinkhoff also prepared and presented more than 40 museum-style retrospective loan exhibitions. These annual non-selling shows paid homage to various important Canadian artists such as Emily Carr, Maurice Cullen, David Milne, Arthur Lismer, A.Y. Jackson, M.A. Suzor-Coté and Albert H. Robinson, to name only a selection.
